On January 25, 2013 Lake Country RCMP received a call from the mother of a student enrolled at George Elliot Secondary School located at 10241 Bottom Wood Lake Road. Her daughter’s flute had been stolen from the school’s band room the day it was needed for a band concert on December 12, 2012. The Yamaha flute had serial number 6676121 and is valued at $1100.00.

CRIME: THEFT OF TIRES

A theft from a storage unit in the basement parkade of a complex on the 3500 block of Woodsdale Road in Lake Country was reported to RCMP on January 27, 2013. Sometime in the week previous suspects had entered the parkade and forced open the swinging door of the storage locker. They stole 2 sets of tires; four 20” all season Good Year Wranglers on stock rims (for a 2010 Dodge Ram) and four nearly new 15” Champiro all-season tires.
