Truck slips off road into Wood Lake
The driver of a truck that went off the highway into Wood Lake this morning (Wednesday) was found cold and wet but fortunately uninjured.
At about 4:45 am, Lake Country RCMP received a report of a flatdeck pickup truck in Wood Lake just north of Oceola Road on Highway 97 North.
The truck's lights were still on but witnesses could not see if the vehicle was occupied.
Emergency crews responded and confirmed that the truck was empty and no one was located nearby.
The driver was located by police walking along the highway near the Lake Country Inn.
The 35 year old Lake Country man was cold and wet but otherwise unharmed.
The driver was northbound on Highway 97 when he apparently hit a slushy section and lost control of the vehicle.
No one else was in the vehicle and no other injuries were reported.
