CRIME: RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTER

DATE: January 17, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-2644

On January 17, 2013 Lake Country RCMP received a report of a break and enter that occurred between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM on the 15,000 block of Old Mission Road in Lake Country. Suspects entered the residence, rummaged through most rooms and left with numerous items. Stolen items include an Acer Aspire laptop computer (Model 7213858), an HTC HD7 cell phone (Bell Mobility), jewellery and sportswear. The owner’s five year-old orange Himalayan cat is also missing.

CRIME: ATTEMPTED THEFT

DATE: January 13, 2013

RCMP FILE: 2013-1959

An attempted theft was reported to Lake Country RCMP members on January 13, 2013. The owners of a coin laundry business located on the 10,000 block of Highway 97 noticed that someone had attempted to break into the change machine with a power tool. The suspect was unsuccessful; however damage is estimated to be $300.00. The attempt would have been noisy; police are hoping someone heard the tool and are able to provide further information.
