After many years of raising money for families with sick kids, the Wish Come True Society will finally become a charity in February.

Previously the society has raised funds through its Ugly Jacket Classic Golf Tournament. Now the society outlines a new mission to build a Respite Centre/Hospice House in Kelowna they must also create different fundraising initiatives.

According to one of the directors of the society, Shaun Bos, for many families with sick kids, it's daunting to have to leave their homes, jobs and support systems in order to travel to the lower mainland to get their children the care that they need.

"Wish Come True Society has a vision to alleviate these issues for families in the Okanagan and outlying areas. We endeavour to build a Respite Centre/Hospice House for Children right here in Kelowna," says Bos.

So on Saturday Feb. 16 join Bos and the members of the society at the Okanagan Mission Hall for a night of dancing and fun at the Valentines Day Masquerade.
