Chilliwack man charged in assault

The incident took place in the 46700 block of Yale Road.
A 24-year-old Chilliwack man was been arrested and charged with attempted murder after police responded to a 911 call on Jan. 14.
Matthew David Alderman was arrested without incident after allegedly assaulting his roommate, a 47-year-old woman, at the residence they shared in Chilliwack.
Alderman remains in custody until his next court appearance on Jan. 29. The victim remains in hospital with undisclosed injuries.
