The BC Fruit Growers Association has elected a new president, and he’s got a familiar face.

Vernon grower Jeet Dhukia, who stepped in as interim president in early December following the resignation of Kirpal Boparai, defeated Kelowna’s Fred Steele over the weekend during the BCFGA’s annual general meeting in Penticton.

Bupinder Dhaliwal of Oliver was elected as vice-president over Summerland grower and executive member Denise MacDonald.
