Kelowna's Kelly Scott has done what no other team before her - mens or womens has ever done.

Scott captured a fourth straight BC Scotties Sunday afternoon with a 9-6 victory over Patti Knezevic.

"Being called champion never gets old," said Scott immediately after the game.

"Like Sasha (Carter) said it never gets old."

The title is also the sixth provincial title for Scott.

Scott, who had last rock to start the game, jumped all over Knezevic early and, after stealing one in the fourth to take a 6-1 lead the outcome was all but in doubt.

Trailing 2-1 in the third, the Prince George skip was wide with a freeze attempt leaving Scott with a wide open hit for three. She made it to go up 5-1.

Scott put it away in the sixth. With her first rock, Scott doubled out two Knezevic rocks to lay three and, after Knezevic's final rock rolled into the open, Scott had a chance to hit for three.

She rolled out but grabbed a pair to take an 8-3 lead.

Scott stole one in the seventh before Knezevic made a bit of a comeback scoring a pair in eight and stealing one in the ninth to trail by three heading into the 10th.

Scott ran Knezevic out of rocks with a double on her first stone of the 10th.

Scott, third Jeanna Schraeder, second Sasha Carter and lead Sarah Wazney will now represent BC at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts next month in Kingston, ON.

The team will be looking to go one game further than a year ago when they lost 7-6 to Heather Nedohin of Alberta in the final.
