Kelowna's Kelly Scott will get a well deserved day off to recharge the batteries after advancing to Sunday's championship game at the BC Scotties in Cloverdale.

Scott edged Patti Knezevic of Prince George 8-7 in a thrilling Page Playoff game Friday night.

Both Scott and Knezevic finished deadlocked atop round robin play with Marla Mallett, all with identical 7-2 record.

Knezevic was seeded first, Scott second and Mallett third.

In Friday's one-two playoff, Scott and her Kelowna Curling Club rink seemed to grab control of the seesaw affair when she stole two in the eighth to take a 7-4 lead with two ends to play.

Knezevic had other ideas, getting the deuce back in nine before stealing on in 10 to force and extra end.

Scott came through in the 11th with one and an 8-7 victory.

Knezevic will play in Saturday's semi-final against the winner of a quarter-final matchup between Mallett and Allison MacInnis.

Scott now has a chance to do what no other team, male or female, has done in BC - win four straight provincial titles.

Sunday's final starts at 2 p.m.
