Robbery at Penticton grocery store
On Sunday, Jan. 13, at 8:42 p.m., Penticton RCMP responded to a hold up alarm at the Foodland store located at 698 Westminister Ave., in Penticton.
Penticton RCMP attended and spoke with the lone female clerk who advised that a female suspect, 5'3" to 5'5" tall entered the store wearing a flesh colored mask and a red bandana over her head.
The suspect was also wearing a white jacket, gloves and black pants.
The suspect produced a knife and black re-usable shopping bag and demanded money from the till.
The clerk gave the suspect the money from the till which was placed in the black bag and the suspect departed the store.
Penticton RCMP's Police Service Dog Unit and officers searched the area with negative results.
The RCMP continue to investigate the incident and ask anyone with any information to contact the Penticton RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
