CRIME: STOLEN AND RECOVERED VEHICLE
DATE: January 15, 2013

On January 15th a man left his blue 1995 Ford F150 XLT truck running on the side of the road when he ran in to pick a friend up from the 13,000 block of Lake Pine Road in Lake Country. While he was absent from the vehicle an unidentified man got in the vehicle and drove it away. The truck was later recovered where it had been driven off the road on the 12,000 block of Okanagan Centre Road West.

CRIME: THEFT OF TRUCK

Just after midnight on January 11, 2013, a theft in progress was reported to Lake Country RCMP members. A man awoke to the sound of his brown 2003 Ford F350 truck being stolen from his yard. A short time later the man called back as he had gone looking for the truck and spotted it stuck in a ditch at a home on the 11,000 block of Lodge Road. The owner of this residence confronted the suspect as he repeatedly tried to start the immobilized vehicle. The thief stated he was going for help, retrieved a bicycle from the box of the truck and departed by bike. He is described as being a 20-25 year old possibly intoxicated male, approximately 5’7” tall and wearing all dark clothing. The window of the truck had been smashed out with a rock and a screwdriver had been used to start the truck.
