Creative power of focus & attention

We are all creative beings and are creating our lives in every moment. The power of our creativity lies in putting our focus and attention on what it is we truly intend to create rather than on what it is we do not want to create. The subconscious mind cannot differentiate between the two and as a result we will manifest that which we are focused on, whether it is good or bad.

After setting our true intentions, we have already unleashed our power, commitment and magic. We have set the foundation to begin realizing our desires. It is also important, now, to focus our attention on our desires and allow our creative energy to start working on our behalf. True intentions and desires are heartfelt. We feel passionate about them and placing out attention and focus on them becomes second nature.

There are many areas of our lives that we need to consider and prioritize before we do this. A valuable exercise is to list the following areas in the order that you perceive as your priority:

• Health and Body
• Finances
• Relationships
• Home
• Work
• Creative Expression
• Travel/Adventure
• Possessions
• Spiritual
• Special Intention (any area not included in the above list that you value)

Once you have created your list of priorities select the top three and make the commitment to put your full attention and focus on creating them. Focus and attention is not wishful thinking which is abstract at best but rather the equivalent of sending a laser beam of infinite creative power to the realization of your desires quickly, easily and gracefully.

If you are not sure where your priorities lie at this time I have found it helpful for me to think back to my childhood. What were my dreams then? Where did my imagination take me? What was my favourite game? When playing make-believe (most children do) what did I believe before my environmental and societal conditioning told me not to? Our innate innocence as children holds the treasures of our hearts and souls ....dare to open up that treasure box and see what was lost along the way of living as we became to know it as adults.

I did this for myself last week and in the process remembered a very long forgotten dream; one that has been resurrected, prioritized and given my full creative power through intention, attention and focus. I feel excited again, the way I did when I imagined this as a little girl.

There are no heart’s desires that are wrong. As a long as they come from your heart they are all treated as being equal and will be created if you sincerely intend to do so and then focus your attention on them.

My challenge to you: Just for today ....unleash your power of creativity by focusing and putting all of your attention on just one true desire.
