As if the snow wasn't enough Okanagan drivers can look forward to a new challenge - icy roads.

According to meteorologist Doug Lundquist at Environment Canada, the precipitation we have been experiencing the past several days is almost behind us.

However, as the clouds roll away an Arctic Front is ready to move in.

Lundquist says he expects the Arctic Front to start rolling into the Okanagan Valley sometime Wednesday night dropping the mercury to about -5 Celsius overnight.

He says the colder temperatures will hit Thursday evening.

"Between Thursday and Friday and then Friday to Saturday - those are the cold days," says Lundquist.

Temperatures are expected to reach -10 Celsius overnight Thursday and Friday.

Lundquist says the good news is temperatures should be cool enough for vineyards to pick grapes for icewine.

The Arctic Front in expected to be with us for a few days before things start to warm up on the weekend.

Lundquist says that could bring with it a bit more snow Saturday or Sunday.
