A Penticton man who pled guilty to manslaughter in the death of a 25-year-old Windsor, Ontario man was back in a Penticton court room on Monday.

The man, who cannot be named because he was a teen at the time of the stabbing in 2008, has been in custody since he breached his conditional release terms -- including breach of curfew and failure to report -- 18 days ago.

When he was taken into custody, police also found a sword and folding knife at the location.

The man will remain in jail for two more weeks then go back on a supervision order until July. He will then go back on the original supervision order.

In 2010, the man pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the stabbing death of Peter Deschaine at Skaha Lake Park.

Deschaine suffered a fatal stab wound during an altercation in the early morning hours of May 24, 2008. He had only lived in Penticton a short time.

Not long after the stabbing, the teen, then 16, turned himself in.
