Slopestyle at Big White
The first Slopestyle event of the season is taking place at Big White Ski Resort this weekend with over 65 men and women competing in the BCSA Provincial Series Slopestyle Competition on Saturday.
The event is sanctioned by Canada-Snowboard, FIS and TTR and is a qualifier for Canada-Snowboard Nationals through their points and Provincial Series ranking.
Today's action saw qualifiers and finalists in both the men's and women's events hit the jumps and the rails at TELUS Park as they tried to wow the judges with amplitude, style and execution.
A couple of locals from the Okanagan Valley found themselves on the podium, including Hunter McMorran and Stephanie Haines.
