Update: Hwy. 1 reopened near Sorrento

Road reopened 8 km west of Sorrento. Incident now cleared, expect traffic congestion. Use caution. Updated on Fri Jan 4 at 8:43 am PST.
Anyone travelling north on Highway 1 this morning should expect delays near Sorrento.
The highway is closed in both directions following a vehicle incident eight kilometres west of Sorrento.
The road is estimated to be reopening sometime between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. today.
There is no detour in effect.
