First Rail Jam of season at Big White

Big White Ski Resort was the place to be last night for the first Rail Jam of the 2012 ski season, presented by The Village Rider.

With a stacked field of local skiers and snowboarders, the judges had a difficult time deciding the winner.

The following is a rundown of the top finishers:

Mens' Snowboard
1st  Mark Turcotte
2nd  Patrick Hrivnak
3rd  Mike Senger

Womens' Snowboard
1st  Steph Haines
2nd  Laura Price
3rd  Carleigh Quiring

Mens' Skier
1st  Parker Blackstock
2nd  Pat Monteith
3rd  Dylan Anderson

Womens' Skier
1st  Katie Walker
2nd  Sofia  Tchernetsky

The second rail jam of the season will take place Jan. 12 at 6 p.m. Contestants must be 19 years old, or have a parent or guardian sign event waivers. The entry fee is $15.
