Fill The Cart and Your Heart at Fernando's Pub is a fundraiser for the Kelowna Community Food Bank. 

The fundraiser takes place this Saturday Dec 1st at 279 Bernard Ave. 

"We thought we'd just donate the money and leave it to the people running the food bank to see fit where the money is needed most," says Genevieve Monro, organizer of the event. 

"We're really excited about the event and hope to raise between $1000 - $1200 dollars. We're not the only ones looking forward to this Saturday; all our tickets have been sold for the event.  It's going to be a great night. 

"On the line up of entertainment we have two bands kicking the night off.  Our first band is Wild Son, a local and lively groove based folk rock quartet.  Second on the bill is Little Jungles, a dark indie rock pop trio.  And lastly, we end the night off with Connor McCloskey DJ'ing his always popular Rumpus Room dance party.  Rumpus Room brings you everything from 50's-60's Rock'n'Roll to 90's Hip Hop."

Everyone attending is encouraged to bring at least one non-perishable item with them as they are aiming to fill several shopping carts from the event.

Between the bands, the Rumpus Room and a raffle draw the night will not be lacking entertainment.  Some very generous local businesses and friends have also donated prizes to be given away.

"We're just happy to be giving back to the community, and no better time of year to do it then Christmas," added Monro.
