CRIME: ASSAULT

DATE: November 13, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-63320

 

West Kelowna RCMP are searching for a man who caused a disturbance and assaulted another man at the bus exchange on Dobbin Road. On November 13th at approximately 7:30 PM an intoxicated male riding a baby blue bicycle was bothering waiting passengers by riding around the bus stop yelling and spitting. When confronted, the man became even more aggressive and hit a man on the side of the head with his hand; rode away and returned carrying a small knife. The man put out his hand defensively and received a small cut. The man, described as 30-40 years old and wearing a hoodie with the hood over his head, rode north in the direction of Brown Road.

CRIME: RESIDENTIAL BREAK AND ENTER

DATE: November 212, 2012

There have been several residential break and enters in West Kelowna recently, but none are as disturbing as when a prowler enters an occupied home. A woman living in a condo unit in a complex on the 2000 block of Auburn Road was woken by a sound on November 21st at approximately 4:00 AM. She heard a door close then observed a young man at the end of a hall as he was leaving. The woman’s purse had been rummaged through and some cash was stolen. The purse of another occupant had also been gone through with cash stolen. The man was wearing dark clothing and carrying a red and white backpack. Police believe he had entered through a second floor balcony.
