A murder trial that was supposed to start at the end of this month has been terminated after the accused died.
Crown Council confirms Geoffrey Moore, 55, formally of Greenwood passed away this summer of cancer.
Moore was charged with the murder and robbery of Timothy Niven Tyler.
Tyler was found shot to death on his acreage near Beaverdell back in 2008.
He was involved in outdoor marijuana grow operations on his property and it is believed he was killed while trying to protect his crop from being robbed by armed individuals.
Moore was charged along side Rock Creek resident Gerlinde Klumpp, 49.
Klumpp will still stand trial in February for robbery and obstructing justice.
Both Moore and Klumpp were known to the victim.
