Nov 19, 2012 / 4:09 pm
On November 18th an enclosed grey/metal car trailer was reported stolen from an auto restoration business in the 8400 block of Silver Star Road.
The car trailer was loaded with $70,000 dollars worth of hot rod parts and a 1934 Ford pickup intended for restoration.
Although the theft was reported on Sunday, the theft could have taken place as early as Friday evening or Saturday afternoon.
The owner of the stolen car trailer, from the Central Interior, says it had a BC plate #82463C at the time it was stolen.
“These type of trailers are stolen quite often unfortunately around the province. We have an officer here that has a very good track record of locating a number of them,” said Vernon RCMP spokesman Gord Molendyk.
“However these type of trailers are stolen quite often this time of year. They are loaded with either in the summer time atvs and things like that. In the winter time, especially up in the Revelstoke, Golden area, they are full of sleds.”
Vernon RCMP are asking anyone with information on this trailer or the theft to contact Crime Stoppers of the Vernon RCMP.
