Motorists heading through Lake Country can expect more delays today (Thursday).

For a second day, Highway 97 between Ponderosa Road and Oceola intersection will be closed to all traffic in both directions between 1 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The closure is necessary as crews conduct rock blasting and clean-up.

Traffic will be detoured onto Oyama Road along the east side of Wood Lake.

Motorists can also expect intermittent five minute delays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Saturday due to the four laning project between Winfield and Oyama.

Those delays can be expected through the end of November.
