RCMP FILE: 2012-59193
Kelowna RCMP were dispatched to the Pearson Elementary School on Monday, October 22, 2012. An intrusion alarm had activated on Friday night at 8:30 PM, but when representatives and police checked, nothing appeared amiss. On Monday morning teachers discovered items missing and believe the thieves were interrupted in the midst of cutting projector wires. The thieves left with a Lenovo L429 Thinkpad laptop (s/n LR6T82K), and most importantly, a transmitter device needed for a hard of hearing student. This device may have been discarded as useless, but it means the world to the child who it was intended for. The device is an Inspiro transmitter, made by Auditory Outreach and valued at $1400.00 (pictured).
