Covenant parkade should be free

To the editor:

In order to uphold the covenant on the Simpson land, (It is a most handsome gift from the family to the citizens of Kelowna), a parkade should mean free or greatly reduced parking fees on that site in perpetuity.

The greatest insult to everyone would be that Council abrogate their responsibilities by employing an independent parking authority to collect fees.

Now that would really hurt.
