Letters to the editor

So affordable I moved

To the editor:

I sure do miss Kelowna.

This comment is coming to you from Calgary, where we have had to move in order to find work!

Even if you are lucky enough to find work in Kelowna, many people basically survive, but seldom thrive.

Since moving to Calgary in April, we have met dozens of people from Kelowna – yes, all here to work in order to support their families back in Kelowna.

Some have relocated, but many actually travel back and forth, making their paycheque in Calgary and spending it in Kelowna.

The standing joke here is that Kelowna people come to Calgary for jobs, and Calgary people have jobs so they can vacation in Kelowna.

Something is wrong with this picture.

Mayor Gray, you are one of the select few who can help to change this.

what is your immediate plan of action, not words, but definitive action?
