They're Almost Here!

They have…been working hard over the Spring and Summer, and their Talents are about to pay off, BIG TIME!  Kelowna’s rebellious Rock Sons “The Flu” are finishing up what will become their debut album.  Along the way, they have had a legion of Rock Luminaries get on board to help them out.  Jeff Dawson is producing the album, while Mike Fraser is mixing the tracks.  The Kelowna Sons are recording in Vancouver, at the famous and former Mushroom Studios, hallowed Halls of Sound on Canada’s West Coast.

The album is being readied for an early 2013 release, and the lead off single “Monsters” should be released in the last week of October!  I have had the privilege to listen to a couple of tracks, in a live situation, and let me tell you, these four lads live up to what I have previously written about them:  talented, brash, and infectious!  They are the Flu!...a home-grown  musical force that are about to take Canada by storm!  Four musical forces in Felix Roberts, Alex Nuyten, Jonny Karroll and Oz Frie, whom wear their influences on their sleeves.

Great news for Kelownians…The Flu will be performing their new record on December 2nd for the Power 104 FM “Rock For Kids” event!!

I’ll have more news on The Flu in weeks to come, however, here is a sneak peek of their debut single:  “Monsters”…enjoy!

He is Iconic…and his guitar stylings are those of legend!  Guitarist of Journey, Neal Schon has finally released his new solo effort; “The Calling”!!  Already gathering rave reviews from the International Music Media, “The Calling” is poised to be answered by millions of music lovers the world over!  Neal has re-united with former Journey drummer Steve Smith, and has produced the effort himself.  In fact, he recorded the album in four days at Fantasy Studios in California!!  Four days!, and the energy shows through!  Here’s a sample:
