Five nabbed after home invasion
Mounties arrested five people late Saturday night suspected of taking part in a home invasion earlier that evening on Boucherie Road.
The five were nabbed by police near downtown Kelowna after they allegedly fled the scene in a Chevy Lumina van.
According to police, three suspects burst into the home in the 3000 block of Boucherie Road shortly after 11 p.m. and struck the resident several times with a blunt object before the 40-year-old man could make his escape.
The three suspects fled the scene in the van with two other associates.
Police spotted the vehicle coming off the William R. Bennett Bridge and stopped it as it turned right onto Pandosy.
All five people were arrested and the weapon was recovered.
The victim suffered only minor injuries.
The suspects have been released on a Promise to Appear at a later date.
Anyone with information on this home invasion are asked to contact West Kelowna RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
