Letters to the editor

Keep it real, Penticton

To the editor:

One of the main reasons Penticton is so great to visit is the wistful small town feeling it purveys.

The waterfront is a great place to walk and wander.

The whole town, in fact, is a great place to walk and wander.

I have always felt welcomed as a tourist in Penticton, and do not believe a 7 million dollar upgrade is necessary for the waterfront area, as it is wonderful the way it is now.

Kelowna has done a lot of upgrading on their waterfront and is also a great place to visit, but for a different reason.

Penticton, please keep  your welcome mat open as you always have.

My opinion as a visitor,

Pamela Guenard,
Vernon
