6:30 a.m. Update: Our Vernon reporter says the road is now clear and open to traffic.

DriveBC alert at 5:57 a.m.: Highway 97 Both directions

Closed in both directions from Junction with Highway 6, in Vernon to 1.5 km north of Vernon, because of a vehicle incident.

Vehicles are able to get through a detour via Highway 6 and 27th Ave.

Estimated time of opening 6:45 am.
