Letters to the editor

What's so good about Kelowna?

To the editor:

Tell me, besides the weather, what's so great about Kelowna?

Is it the poor drivers, the absence of left hand turn signals or the long waits for public transit?

Is it the old residents club that is slow to accept newcomers to the community or an under current of racism that never seems to be acknowledged?

Is it the "sunshine tax" thing that sends many of our young people north in search of a decent wage, which is necessary to live here?

Kelowna is a beautiful city but it has problems like anywhere else. Accept what you have and that's what you'll always get.

Questioning the status-quo stimulates thought and often brings about positive change.

Canadians, in general, are far too complacent and easily taken advantage of.
