Gordon Drive way too fast

To the editor:

When did the speed limit become just a suggestion?

My wife and I live just off Gordon Drive, close to the H2O pool.

Gordon Drive, especially since the twinning of the road has become an accident waiting to happen.

The speed limit on Gordon is 60 km/h for most of the way.

I usually travel a couple of clicks over that, but apparently that is not enough.

Other cars go by you so fast, one day I stepped out of my car to see if I was moving.

A week or so of speed traps would generate enough revenue to lower the price of gas, although that would likely lead to higher speeds as there would be no reason the try to conserve fuel.

Gordon Drive and Lequime have two schools close by, and I would suggest any parent with a child attending either of them buy your kid a pair of cleats so he at least has a fighting chance.
