The UBCO Heat women's soccer team finally got back into the win column with a 1-0 road win over Kwantlen College Saturday afternoon.
After four consecutive 1-1 draws, the Heat kept a clean sheet in their end and secured the win when Kira Byers scored in the 89th minute.
The Heat dominated play, out-shooting their opponents 25-9 through the match.
The win leaves Okanagan in third place with three wins and five draws after nine games. With 14 points this season, they're just two behind second place Langara (5W-3L-1T).
On Sunday afternoon the Heat will look for three more points when meet the Douglas College Royals in Coquitlam.
The men's squad is still in search of their first win of the season after a 3-2 loss to the Kwantlen Eagles on Saturday.
