Meat recall should lead to change

To the editor:

Once again there is another meat product recall.

My question is, what does the public expect from a large industry that feeds their animals corn, dead animal parts, expired candy, hormones and whatever other cheap things they can give to feed the animals?

Cows were meant to eat grass and grains.

I find it really sad that the public pushes all the blame onto a company that pushes out these products.

E-coli is nothing new. It's the direct cause of a poor and unnatural diet in these animals. Just like mad cow disease!

It is something that has been talked about for years, but the public just keeps on paying and passing the blame.

The public wants a fast, cheap and large portioned product. Well, if you don't pay them to produce cheap products they will be forced to change their ways.

The bottom line is the consumer has full control of what they buy.

I am not saying this company is not responsible. They should pay for their mistakes.

But when is the consumer going to wake up and demand the right change?

Buy local, look at the animals you are going to eat and make sure its a good and true product for you.

These large business don't care about your health, they want your money.

Their greed works well with cheapness and low standards.

You deserve a good product, you work had for your money and your health matters.

You have a choice. Its time to take your blinders off.
