CRIME: HIT AND RUN

RCMP FILE: 2012-54748

On September 27, 2012, a man reported a hit and run to the Lake Country RCMP. He had parked his 2012 black Dodge Ram pickup in the Turtle Bay Pub parking lot at 11:30 AM and went in for lunch. When he returned at 12:30 his vehicle had been struck, damaging the rear right tail light and bumper. Damage is estimated at approximately $500-700.

CRIME: BREAK, ENTER and THEFT

The early morning hours of September 30 was a busy time for a thief in Oyama. At least three break and enters to sheds and garages on Oyama Road were reported. While nothing was stolen from two of the buildings, the owners of a garage on the 15,000 block of Oyama Road took a major hit. The thieves stole a $3000 Yamaha 2600 kW generator, a custom set of 14 left handed golf clubs in a Sun Ice golf bag ($3000 value) and assorted camping gear.
