Have you said 'YES' to you?
Oct 4, 2012 / 5:00 am
In today’s world there is so much emphasis and energy being put into our careers, finances and family ... all to survive or pay the bills, maybe to set money aside and save. With so much focus and time being dedicated to the fast pace of survival, working and family, I ask you to take a step back and think about your past 30 days! Thinking about your life as if you were watching it like you would a movie, how does it look to you? Was there time for rest, fitness, health or even more important, time to breathe? Lastly, are you happy, healthy and at ease?
All too common the hectic pace of our lives takes a front seat to the balance of a healthy life, whether it be mental or physical. Today, I chose not to educate you about a fitness or health topic but rather, I simply ask for you to slow down and bring awareness to the lifestyle, nutritional and fitness habits you are currently choosing to live.
I have five questions I would like you to take time to think about and answer truthfully to yourself. This will perhaps allow you to acknowledge something about your lifestyle that maybe you did not recognize before, and possibly motivate you to find some way to make a change for a healthier you!
1. When was the last time that you spent quality time on yourself, doing something that allowed you to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy you?
a) A couple of days ago?
b) A week ago?
c) A month ago?
d) I can’t remember?
2. When was the last time that you treated yourself to a workout of any sort?

c) Not often, life is busy! Randomly slows down
d) Never, always working, stays too busy!

I hope that this has given you an opportunity to slow down and think about where you currently are today with your health and life! If you have learned a little more about yourself, where you are today and what you would like to do for yourself to make you healthier and happier, please keep the focus on YOU and keep asking these questions regularly! You never know where your new focus might take you.
