Central Okanagan

Kelowna Lake-Country MP Ron Cannan, presented the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal to 33 people on Saturday during a ceremony at the Missionwood Retirement Resort.

Also in attendance was Senator Nancy Greene Raine, who presented each recipient with a certificate of recognition.

The medal is being presented to 60,000 Canadians in 2012 to celebrate significant contributions and achievements, and to recognize those who have dedicated themselves to service to their fellow citizens, their community and their country.
