The District of West Kelowna has lifted a precautionary water quality advisory it issued following a watermain break last week.
West Kelowna residents in areas spanning from Devon Court to Boucherie Road can drink with ease, as the district has deemed the water safe and clear.
“The District of West Kelowna, in consultation with Interior Health, has lifted the precautionary measure after water quality testing results have returned clear,” the district said in a press release Wednesday.
Crews working on construction of the Westside Wine Trail caused a watermain break at about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 18, which stopped the flow of water to some residents and caused murky water in others. Water flow returned the following morning, but some residents experienced discoloration.
