In the aftermath of the Trepanier fire which forced the evacuation of hundreds of homes in the Peachland area, the District would like to officially say "thank you" to everyone who worked to save the community.
The Mayor and Council of the District of Peachland are inviting residents and anyone who would like to show their support to visit the Community Celebration on Sunday, September 30 at Heritage Park in Peachland.
In announcing the event, the district says "the community would like show their appreciation to those who helped to protect us from the effects of the Trepanier Fire."
The celebration will take place from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m., at the park located between 1st and 2nd Avenues in Peachland.
There will be entertainment, hot dogs and hamburgers available along with the opportunity to thank all the emergency services workers and volunteers who helped during the crisis.
