Letters to the editor

Lakeshore Drive is just fine

To the editor:

Re: Sands of time for waterfront change

Penticton City Council should forget the waterfront project and focus on the things Penticton really needs.

How about addressing the horrible condition the library is in?

That building should be torn down, if it was a house it would have been condemned a long time ago.  Everybody uses the library.

Seems that City Council is more concerned about the tourists than the citizens of Penticton.

For two to three months a year the city comes alive only to return to a depressed city for the rest of the year.

More jobs that cater to tourism is not going to help the people that live here.

It’s like a feast for two months and famine for 10 months. How about long term good jobs.

It is like Penticton has a dark cloud hanging over it. How about working on bringing  companies that offer real jobs to Penticton?

If City council is going to spruce up anything, how about getting the city on its feet for the citizens that live here and pay taxes?

City council needs a wake-up call and to quit spending money that is not there.

Lakeshore drive is just fine.
