Toronto Stock Exchange (12,446.86 down 52.61 points):
Romarco Minerals Inc. (TSX:R). Miner. Up 17 cents, or 18.28 per cent, at $1.10 on 10,232,218 shares.
New Gold Inc. (TSX:NGD). Miner. Up 50 cents, or 4.34 per cent, at $12.01 on 5,200,210 shares. The gold sector was one of two subsectors that closed higher. It ended the day at 347.17 points, up 0.16 per cent.
Goldcorp. Inc. (TSX:G). Miner. Up 19 cents, or 0.42 per cent, at $45.10 on 4,179,215 shares.
Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Down 30 cents, or 0.87 per cent at $34.02 on 4,080,947 shares. The energy sector finished at 181.39 points, down 0.29 per cent, as the price of the October crude contract fell US$2.38 to $96.62 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Transportation equipment. Down five cents, or 1.32 per cent, at $3.74 on 4,078,555 shares. Major components of the plane and train maker's first CSeries test flight vehicle are scheduled to arrive in Quebec at the end of this month.
Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down five cents, or 0.50 per cent, at $9.93 on 3,721,858 shares.
