RCMP in Maple Ridge have arrested a man already convicted of sexually assaulting a teenaged girl on similar charges in another community.
Police say 24-year-old Russell Thomas Lamb appeared in provincial court Friday.
Insp. David Fleugel says Lamb is currently on probation after being convicted of a sex offence against a 15-year-old girl in Squamish, B.C.
He says the Maple Ridge investigation is in connection with another girl Lamb befriended.
Lamb has been remanded until Monday, when he will make his next court appearance via video conference.
Fleugel says anyone with information should contact the Serious Crimes Unit of the RCMP's Ridge Meadows detachment.
