December 1st…will be a scorcher of a concert, heating up the Kelowna winter with three legendary bands!  The Rock n’ Roll Revival hits Prospera Place on that evening with Journey, Loverboy and Night Ranger!  Last Summer, “Night Ranger” celebrated their thirtieth year with the release of “Somewhere In California”…a ‘back to form’ album.  I had the honour of reviewing that album for another periodical that I write for…here is the Review:

Night Ranger “Somewhere In California”

Get ready for some real powerful, outstanding, and hook laden rock n’ roll!
“Somewhere In California” is a celebration of thirty years of ‘Melodic Metal’ from the originators…Night Ranger!  Coming out of the gate—fast and furious, “Growing Up In California” sets the tone for this, Night Ranger’s ninth studio album.  All of the groups’ trademarks are here—great guitar riffs—memory making choruses with finely sung harmonies!  Each song bathed in a powerfully driven rhythm section…pulsating throughout the whole of the album.
Yeah, these guys may have been rocking for the past thirty years—but “Somewhere In California” proves that Night Ranger can rock all of us for thirty more.—easily!  Eleven rocked out offerings, and a couple warm moments too…this ninth release just may be the group’s strongest yet.
It is going to be a great Summer 2011…’Somewhere In California’

Currently on tour, Loverboy are spreading their infectious music all across North America.  The group are stronger than ever and taking each city they touch down in by storm.  Kelowna will be no different!  From Frontiers’ Records, here is the new official video of “Heartbreaker”’, a re-worked version that appears on the group’s latest, and perhaps greatest Recorded Work: “Rock N’ Roll Revival”…note the recording sequences:
Journey, Loverboy, and Night Ranger…promises to be the concert event of the winter….and tickets are available now!  December 1st  at Prosper Place.
