'Masking' over-regulation |
|
|
To the editor:
Again, we see the overpaid zealots attempting to add to the always escalating over-regulation we have in this country.
Health care workers are probably the last people you will likely get sick from, because apparently, they have some education and understand how illness spreads.
Perhaps it is the plethora of other exposures one should be more worried about, like the mailman handling or sneezing on your mail, handling money, not washing, or even talking to your spouse, friend or neighbour at close range.
There are millions of exposures that are not health care worker related.
Health care workers are smart enough to usually have immune-compromised patients to wear a mask, which is called “Reverse Isolation”.
If you are immune-compromised, then perhaps you should be smart enough to protect yourself, and not expect the world to protect you.
If you are paranoid about getting sick, then I suggest you hide yourself into a closet for the rest of your life, because you are at risk where ever you go.
This is just another example of knee-jerk micro-management at work.
