Flag should be denied |
|
|
To the editor:
As a tax paying citizen of Kelowna, I was shocked reading the news about the Pro-Life flag.
I am fuming at the thought of city hall elected officials getting involved and stirring up this debate.
You have absolutely no business whatsoever using Kelowna city hall to voice an opinion that many residents do not agree with. Your job is to run the city and spend our tax dollars to our best advantage.
I personally believe a woman has a right to choose being her body and being we live in a free state.
City Hall flying a flag other than a country, province or city flag is only promoting a cause.
I have absolutely zero prejudice towards gay people and support equal rights but again, that flag should not be flying at city hall.
I along with many other people believe the city needs to distance itself from any cause other than what is official Kelowna business.
