CRIME:         THEFT OF FUEL

DATE:          August 13, 2012

RCMP FILE:     2012-43868

West Kelowna RCMP are looking for the identity of a fuel thief who stole 800-1000 litres of diesel fuel from a mining site on Brenda Mine Road off Highway 97 C near Peachland.

Video surveillance indicates that on August 6 a vehicle attended the gate and “cased” the site.

The same vehicle returned on August 11 at 2:50 AM with a lone male who exited the truck, cut off the lock at the gate entrance and drove into the compound.  The man was driving a grey Dodge diesel truck.

The truck had a strobe light going on the dash and had orange lights on the roof.  The man driving was wearing a high visibility vest.

You can help catch these suspects and qualify for a reward by calling Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tips line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), visiting our website at www.crimestoppers.net or text to CRIMES (274637), keyword Ktown.
