Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Okanagan Valley.
The watch includes Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton.
According to their website, thunderstorm activity could come sometime this (Wednesday) afternoon.
Monitor weather conditions..Listen for updated statements. If threatening weather approaches take immediate safety precautions.
Conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms over parts of the British Columbia interior today and this evening. These thunderstorms have the potential to become severe, producing heavy downpours, large hail and strong wind gusts.
