Puck mania in Penticton

The Okanagan Hockey School, celebrating 50 years of business, will be welcoming record crowds for the next two weekends!

More than 600 families will be descending on Penticton for the next two weeks to register players for first class hockey instruction.

“Rainy weather may have slowed down business in Penticton at the beginning of summer,” says Andy Oakes, President of OHS, “not so for the Hockey School.   Our business is not weather dependent.  Rain or shine, visitors registered in the OHS show up to spend a week or longer.”

Better weather means families visiting the South Okanagan for OHS are able to enjoy all the restaurants, activities and sights Penticton has to offer.

To assist these visitors in planning their time in the Okanagan, the school organizes a “trade show” where OHS partner businesses welcome the families and promote their services to them.

Tourism Penticton and Summerland Chamber of Commerce provide tourism information while golf courses, spas, retail outlets, wineries, attractions, pubs and restaurants offer discounts and exclusive offers to all hockey school registrants and families.
