RCMP are confirming that the body, Dennis Gordon Gudmundson, has been located.
The body of Gudmundson and his motorcycle were located down an embankment on Highway 5, south of Valemount.
Gudmundson was on his way to Keremeos when his family lost touch with him.
Valemount RCMP are still investigating the incident.
Family and friends have asked the RCMP to convey their appreciation for BC SAR volunteers and all others who helped in the search for Gudmundson.
