CRIME: ASSAULT

DATE: May 21, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-24476

Kelowna RCMP are searching for witnesses to solve an assault that occurred in front of the Courthouse at 2:50 AM on May 21, 2012. A man came to the aid of another man involved in an altercation and was subsequently turned on and beaten. The first punches were exchanged with a man wearing a black t-shirt and then a male wearing a green shirt knocked him down, kicked his body and either stomped or kicked the victim’s right knee, which resulted in major surgery and a lengthy hospital stay. The culprits ran off in the direction of Clement Avenue. The 3 suspects are described as follows: Suspect #1 – 5’11” tall with long blonde hair and a lime green shirt. Suspect #2 – 6”2” tall with dark hair and a black shirt. Suspect 3: 6’ tall, slim build and blonde hair.

CRIME: THEFT OF TRUCK and TRAILER

DATE: July 1, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-33422

A Ford F550 belonging to a local landscaping company was stolen in the early hours of July 1, 2012 from in front of a house on the 400 block of Fitzpatrick Road. The truck, a white 2004 F550 with BC license plate # DN3048, was carrying a green dump box and also had a black 2008 “Dump” brand utility trailer attached (BC licence plate # 23198C).
