Letters to the editor
Assisted suicide a slippery slope |

To the editor:
First let me say that everyone has the right to die, however not by the hand of another human being.
A doctor takes an oath to save lives, not take them.
By granting a law that allows another human to kill a human we have failed as a society. Yes religion comes into play and it has to.
Man cannot and must not create laws that contravene the law of the creator. Who do we think we are?
There have been people in our recent dark past that have tried to create the perfect human. No names of course but I am sure you can think of a few.
If man allows another man to kill, history shows that the pendulum will swing and the gap will widen to allow murder to be committed without justification (as if there ever is any) and we humans will endeavour to try and create our perfect world in our own selfish idea of what that is.
Stop playing God people.
