CRIME: ROBBERY

DATE: June 11, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-29099

A man entered a restaurant on the 2600 block of Pandosy Street around 3:30 PM on June 11, 2012 and demanded an employee put cash from the register into a bag or he would hurt her. After the employee put an undisclosed amount of cash into the yellow bag he bolted and retrieved a bike from along McKay Avenue. The employee watched him ride towards Richter Street. The suspect threw the bag into a yard on Wardlaw Avenue soon after. The thief is described as a short 40-50 year old male with dark skin and hair with a tattoo on his left forearm, wearing a dirty gray hat, shorts and a black t-shirt.

CRIME: THEFT OF FIREARMS

DATE: April 12, 2012

RCMP FILE: 2012-17088

Kelowna RCMP members are looking for information regarding the theft of 13 firearms that were stolen along with 2 large Honeywell gun safes from a storage locker in a condo unit on the 1000 block Sunset Drive. The guns are believed to have been stolen in the 2 weeks prior to April 14, 2012. The owner, along with RCMP members, attended the location where it was discovered that the secure storage locker area had been entered. The door to the unit had been tampered with but still appeared secure. The two safes and 13 weapons were missing. Members are looking for the thieves and a variety of firearms including 6 Smith & Wesson revolvers, a Radom 9 MM semi-automatic, an antique Investarm Fabrica D’Armi, 2 shotguns, and 3 rifles.
